ComFree Edmonton in 2007 Market Responds To Commission Free Alternative
The end of 2007 coincided with the five-year anniversary of ComFree Edmonton and completed a well-documented roller coaster year in the Edmonton and Area real estate market.
Despite the inconsistencies in the market in 2007, the one constant was ComFree’s ability to align home buyers and sellers. ComFree’s proven system helped 12,113 buyers and sellers come together and in the process kept $56.2 million in commissions savings between them. With 3798 total number of properties changing hands through the ComFree system in 2007, we continue to provide a successful alternative to traditional commission-based sales.
In the later half of 2007, many home sellers learned a difficult lesson in finding a realistic balance between selling price and expected days on market. Many examples of unrealistic expectations among home sellers are found in the high volume of sellers moving from the commissioned-based option to ComFree and vice versa. In either method, many homes went unsold based on the seller’s expectations of both price and days on market.
The important lesson from 2007 is that regardless of how buyers and sellers chose to meet their real estate needs, ComFree is and will always be a viable option regardless of market conditions. Over the course of the last twelve months two things were obvious:
- In a sellers’ market, ComFree’s Commission Free process of selling and buying is a successful alternative to traditional commission-based real estate sales.
- In a buyers’ market, the only way for sellers to keep the most money from the sale of their home while satisfying buyers’ desire, and power, to pay as little as possible is to cut out the middleman and do it Commission Free.
All the best for 2008.
